Melissa Borman is showing her captivating photographs in two group shows this October, 5th Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography in Barcelona and Near and Far at Silverwood Gallery in Minnesota.
Borman’s figurative work from A Piece of Dust in the Great Sea of Matter series is included in the 5th Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography to be held in Barcelona, Spain.

The mission of the Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography is the recognition and exhibition of new talents in artistic and documentary photography as well as the promotion of photography. Organized for the first time in Madrid in 2010, after four editions it has become an event of international relevance, spreading contemporary artworks of different schools of thought, as well as experimental projects, and emotional and political manifestations. Melissa’s close-up flora images from her Visible Systems series are included in the group show Near and Far at Silverwood Gallery in St Anthony, MN. In Near and Far, artists shift our view of the natural world, allowing viewers to see and understand the world from a new perspective.
